Spring is right around the corner...can you believe it? This year is flying by! In lieu of the traditional spring cleaning, we thought it would be fun to share ideas to add to your home. Welcome the new season by adding succulents! It’s a simple and inexpensive way to spruce up your decor and breathe a bit more life {literally} into your space.
According to a study from the Huffington Post, plants in your home reduce anxiety, purify the air and can even increase your ability to focus. So, why succulents in particular? Well, 1. they’re gorgeous, and 2. their mix of hard and soft - delicate yet majestic, adorable yet fierce, symmetrical yet spontaneous - transforms a dull room into a ‘hey-was-this-on-HGTV?’ type room.
Still need convincing?
We love this useful guide to common house plants from DesignLoveFest. It tells you exactly how much light and water each plant needs. In our case, if you want your succulents to be sensational, put those babies in direct sunlight and water sparingly.
For an easy first step, pick your favorite succulents (they come in a myriad of colors, shapes, and sizes) and try arranging them on the windowsill, along shelves or in hanging planters. Here’s some of our favorite looks, and as a bonus they are all DIY-friendly.
