What to look for in resort wear?

We’ve talked about key things to look for in resort wear, but what should you avoid? It’s really quite simple, avoid anything that is uncomfortable or out of place in a hot beach environment. Here’s a list of three quick things to avoid to be resort and beach ready:

• Heavy makeup. The beach is not the time to put on a lot of makeup. Swap the foundation for a face sunscreen and the lipstick for a clear gloss, and you’ll be picture perfect for the beach. Plus, with hot temperatures any makeup you put on will just melt and sweat off anyway.
  
  
• Clothing that makes you uncomfortable. Comfort is key! Wearing a swimsuit that is too revealing or one that doesn’t have the support or coverage you need, makes for a miserable experience. Avoid clothes that are too restrictive or tight as well. Resort wear is often about an effortless, chic style that blends in with a low maintenance beach lifestyle.

• High heels or other uncomfortable shoes. High heels, stilettos, and other unrealistic shoes can be difficult to walk in on sand or other uneven surfaces. The last thing you need on your vacation is a rolled ankle. Avoid these shoes and stick with a comfortable yet stylish pair of sandals, sneakers or flip flops.
