After a competitive contest with nearly 10,000 votes cast and 300 entries from our HAPARI community around the U.S., we’re excited to finally announce the winner of our 2020 HAPARI Model Search contest.
Drum roll please… the winner first place winner is Michelle Merrill! Michelle got 2,506 total votes to win the contest and be named our 2020 HAPARI Model Search Winner.
Meet Our 2020 Model Search Winner
Michelle is a 36-year-old wife and mother to five daughters. She is a second grade reading intervention teacher and a young adult novelist. She loves traveling, baking cupcakes, music and teaching piano. She lives in Idaho with her family.
In Michelle’s video submission as a finalist she said, “I want to be a HAPARI model because I want to teach my girls, and all girls, that there are no limits. You can set goals, you can dream dreams and you can be anything. Every experience in life is going to be part of your story. This experience would be an amazing addition to the story of my life.”

The Grand Prize
Michelle will receive an all-expenses-paid trip for her and a guest to be on-location with HAPARI during our January photoshoot, an opportunity to model in a professional editorial photoshoot with professional hair and makeup, a $2,500 cash prize, and a $1,000 HAPARI shopping spree. Sounds pretty great right? We will share videos and photos from the shoot on the blog, so keep an eye out for those to come in early 2021.
Meet the Runner-Ups
With so many fantastic entries, this year’s model search was more competitive than ever. In fact, the difference from first place to second place was just a few hundred votes. We’d like to extend a big congratulations to our second and third place winners as well.
Our second place winner is Karly J. She got 2,459 total votes and won a $1,000 cash prize and $500 HAPARI shopping credit.
Our third place winner is Miranda D with 1,162 total votes. She won a $500 cash prize and $250 HAPARI shopping credit.
