I love Netflix. Let me repeat that, I love Netflix and I love the shows that I can stream on Netflix. From watching new documentaries to discovering indie films to binge-watching some of the best television series that have ever existed (I’m talking to you, Friends), the way we stream on Netflix is changing how we view media.
Today, television, films, and media are truly in the hands of consumers. Want to watch the entire series of Friends? Netflix has you covered. Missed the most recent episode of Game of Thrones? Catch it on HBO GO while you ride the subway to work. Interested in learning a new language in your spare time? Pandora Radio just released it’s new language station available for listeners for free.

The accessibility to entertainment is creating a change in the way we consume media. In fact, a recent article in Tech Radar, a popular tech blog, noted the way Netflix is changing the way consumers engage with media, “Streaming services have broken down traditional barriers, democratised the best content, empowered the consumer.”
Television and film writers are now scripting shows to be watched continuously. Gone are the weeks spent waiting for the newest episode of our favorite show to be released. Streaming platforms like Netflix encourage users to watch episodes one after the other.
