What is loungewear?

Before we dive into our favorite pieces from the new loungewear collection, we know this new category of clothing can be a bit confusing. What exactly is loungewear? Is it loungewear the same as sleepwear? And, what style is ‘loungewear’ style? We’ll answer all of these questions, and more, below!

• What is Loungewear? Loungewear is a new category of clothing that has emerged post-pandemic in an effort to stay both comfortable and stylish. With more and more people working from home, the lines between pajamas, sleepwear, and athletic wear have blurred—and the result? Loungewear, a comfy yet sophisticated style of clothes ideal for hanging out around the home or running errands. The focus of this style of clothes is on transitional basics designed for optimal comfort. If there was ever a style perfect for busy moms and parents, this is it. 
  
  
• Is it the same as sleepwear? While loungewear is similar to sleepwear, there are some key differences. Sleepwear is designed specifically for optimizing sleeping experiences. Loungewear is designed with comfort and the ability to wear it in many places, from the beach to brunch to running errands to heading into a pilates class to meeting friends for a nightcap.
