Mother’s Day is just around the corner, and we can’t wait to celebrate MOM! This Sunday, we have another chance to tell our mamas -- our best friends, our caregivers, our once-in-a-lifetime-kind-of-love creators -- how incredibly special they are to us. If you’re like me, your mom will always hold a special and dear spot in your heart.
Our moms were the ones who taught us how to walk, showed up to all of our school plays, picked us up when we fell down, and stood by us through all of life’s challenges. Mother’s Day is a well-deserved holiday and it’s time to lift up moms and give them the appreciation and respect they’ve earned!
For those of us who are moms, we know firsthand what a trial motherhood is. It just may be the hardest thing we’ll ever face, and yet it’s the most rewarding and beautiful gift ever. Today, and all days, our hats are off to moms everywhere!
Check out our 5 Ways to Celebrate Mom on Mother’s Day below!
Let Mom Have the DAY, WEEK, MONTH Off!
If you’re looking for ways to make your mom feel special, loved, cherished, adored, and all of those great things, then give your mom the gift of time. Take over your mom’s hectic schedule and let her have the day, week, or even month off. Taking a month off might be stretching it, but you can still ease her schedule by offering to handle one of her daily chores every day for a month… you’re on dish duty from now until June! :) By taking care of your mom’s never ending to-do list, you’re giving your mom one of the best gifts of all: time to do what they love.

Be Sentimental
It’s Mother’s Day, and just so everyone is clear, that means you need to do something. No matter what you do, whether you decide to write your mom a heartfelt card or spend time with her on the day, you need to do something nice to celebrate your mom. We advise taking some time to get sentimental and tell your mom how much she means to you. Let her know how special she is, how much you appreciate everything she did, does, and will do for you. Now’s the time! Don’t wait. Tell your momma you love her!

Do Something She Loves!
My mom loves to play golf. Me? I hate playing golf. I don’t understand how chasing a tiny ball around a gigantic course for hours is enjoyable; but, on Mother’s Day, I’m going to play golf with my mom because she likes it. This Mother’s day spend the day doing whatever it is your mom loves to do; your mom might love going to a yoga retreat or spending time planting flowers or reading a book outside. Be a good sport and let your mom decide the itinerary for the day! You might find a new activity you love and you’ll get to spend time with mom, it’s a win-win!

Treat Mom to a Day at the Spa
Although they may try, your mom is not a superhuman. They have needs, wants, frustrations, and fears just like you. This Mother’s Day, help your mom relax by decompressing at the spa. Everyone loves spa days. Take your mom to get a mani and pedi or a facial or a massage. She’ll love being pampered for the day. Better yet, join her for a treatment! Mother and daughter (or son!) treatments can be a great way to spend time together and build lasting memories.
