Catching up with our Palm Desert Dream Getaway Winner

Please join us in congratulating the winner of our Palm Desert Dream Getaway trip, Julie Harris from Wellsville, Kansas! As our grand prize winner, Julie receives  hotel and travel accommodations for two to sunny Palm Desert, California!

“It was really exciting!” said Julie on winning the grand prize. “My husband first saw the email notifying me that I won. He called me over, and I made him read it aloud. I was stunned and in disbelief! And it has been such a long and cold winter here, so we can't wait!”

Hapari selected Julie as the grand prize by an electronic drawing. There were nearly 23,200 entries for the two-week contest that ran from February 18 to March 4. Julie will receive swimwear from Hapari’s new, limited edition Palm Desert Collection in addition to the trip for two to Palm Desert.

Palm Desert is such a wonderful vacation destination with beautiful landscapes and warm, sunny weather. So it was the perfect for our latest trip giveaway, which was in celebration of our new Palm Desert Collection.

Julie will be taking her husband, Steven, to Palm Desert with her and says the will be the honeymoon they never got to take. The couple, who have been married for two year, have never visited Palm Desert, and haven’t traveled much since they first met.

Julie met Steven on Facebook of all places. Julie, from Kansas, and Steven, from England, happened to be neighbors on the popular Facebook game Farmville. One day they struck up a friendly conversation through instant messages, and then Skype. The two eventually decided to meet, and they took turns flying to visit each other.

“This trip is really such a blessing,” said Julie. “It was difficult for us to plan a big wedding or honeymoon, because of the timing and finances involved with Steven’s immigration process. So now, after being married for two years, we will finally get to take our honeymoon!”

In addition to the grand prize winner, two runners up were also selected. Our first runner up, Jen T. from Califorina, receives a $500 Hapari gift certificate, while Kathy J. from Michigan, the second runner up, receives a $250 Hapari gift certificate.

The sweepstakes contest was conducted through our Facebook page where fans were able to enter once per day and received a bonus entry for referring new entrants.
