Celebrate Easter with Egg-cellent Easter Crafts

Can you believe Easter weekend is almost here?! It’s crazy how quickly it snuck up on us. Actually in all fairness, the holiday falls a bit earlier in the season this year. Unlike fixed-date holidays (like Christmas or Halloween), Easter is celebrated based on the lunar calendar so the actual date celebrated is different each year. Regardless of when we celebrate, Easter is an important and symbolic holiday for Christians around the world. It’s also a widely celebrated holiday used to celebrate Spring and the rebirth.

Today, we’re sharing fun Easter crafts your family will love doing! In fact, we’d bet you kiddos will be egg-static about making these crafts, all yolks aside. Ha! The puns were necessary. ;)

DIY Bunny Masks

This Easter Craft is a quick and easy DIY project you’re kids will love making. The best part? These bunny masks make for some awesome pictures and memories (your kids will love when you show their future dates these pics!) (Image via MPM School Supplies)

Materials:

• White paper plate
• Glue stick
• Colored pencils
• Construction paper (specifically black and white)
• Popsicle stick
• Scissors

Directions

Cut out the center of the paper plate by carefully tracing the inside rim of the plate. Next cut 6 strips of black construction paper to use as the bunny’s whiskers. On a piece of white construction paper carefully draw two bunny ears and color in the inner ears with a light pink color. Cut out your bunny ears. Glue bunny ears, whiskers, and popsicle stick to the rim of the paper plate.

Baby Bunny and Chick Cups

These adorable baby bunny and chick cups are perfect for Easter gifts to give to friends, family, teachers or neighbors. They’re also really quick and easy to make! Check out how to make these lil’ critter friends below! (Image via Parenting Healthy Babies)

Materials:

• White paper cups
• Construction paper (specifically yellow)
• Hot glue and hot glue gun
• Craft pipe cleaners
• Googly eyes
• Puff balls
• Colored packaging filler
• Feathers
• Candy

Directions

For the baby bunny, use the hot glue gun to carefully glue the googly eyes to the white paper cup. Cut two pieces of white pipe cleaner to make the whiskers and glue to the cup. Glue a pink colored puff ball to the cup. On a piece of white construction paper carefully draw two bunny ears and color in the inner ears with a light pink color. Cut out your bunny ears. Glue bunny ears, to the inside of the cup. Fill with colored packaging filler and Easter candy.

For the baby chick, carefully cut out and glue yellow construction paper to the cup. Cut out a triangle beak from orange construction paper, and cut two pieces of pipe cleaner to use for the feet. Glue googly eyes, beak, and pipe cleaner to the cup. Carefully fold the pipe cleaner into a foot shape. Fill with colored feathers and Easter candy.

Paper Egg Art Mobile

Materials:

• 5-10 colorful paper prints (you can pick these up at any craft store)
• Stapler
• Thread
• Scissors
• Pencil

Directions

Stack together five of your favorite prints one underneath each other. Using a pencil, carefully trace an egg shape on top of the first paper. Use your scissors to cut out the egg shape through all five of the layers of paper. Place a staple at the top, bottom, and middle, of the egg. Then slowly pull each paper apart to fan out your egg. Attach a top of thread to the top of the egg to hang.
