Can you believe it’s already March? 2015 is already closing in on its first quarter. It’s crazy how fast time flies, right? Well we think it may be time to slow down a bit and enjoy each of the changing seasons and holidays. March means St. Paddy’s Day and celebrating all things green!
Every year on March 17, the world pauses to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day. What began as the observance of a religious holiday for the Irish, is now an international festival celebrating Irish culture with parades, dancing and foods.
To help you and your family celebrate the upcoming holiday, we’ve created three fun ways to Celebrate St. Paddy’s Day with the Family. Read on!
**Fun Fact: According to ABC News, the correct shortened version of St. Patrick’s Day is St. Paddy’s Day; although, the abbreviation is a commonly misspelled as St. Patty’s Day.
1) Four-Hand Clover Crafts
Celebrate the holiday by making this quick, easy craft! Your kids will have a blast creating this "hands on" (pun intended) clover, and you can display their artwork masterpieces as decor for the season!

- Green Finger Paint
- Paper
- Marker
Directions
Let the kiddos have fun with this project! Place their hands in the green paint and then immediately onto paper. Hold for 10 seconds to avoid drippage. Repeat until a 4-hand clover is made. Use the marker to sign their masterpiece!
2) Green-Colored Food
Let’s be honest; green food coloring makes regular food way more fun! To celebrate the holiday, why not add a few drops of the coloring to your kiddos favorite meal? It’s sure to be a crowd pleaser.
3) Practice Your Irish Slang
We love the idea of incorporating Irish culture into the celebration of St. Patrick’s Day. Why not challenge each of your family members to use these Irish sayings in throughout the day? It makes for a fun and educational exercise to celebrate the origins of this fun holiday!
