Avocado Chocolate Mousse with Pecan Crumble

This delicious vegan dessert is as healthy as it is tasty. You might even be surprised you’re actually eating healthy food, it’s that good! This Healthy Dessert option is completely vegan and sneaks in veggies (like avocados) in the recipe courtesy of Brumble. One of our favorite things about this recipe is the cocoa powder. Chocolate lovers, you’re going to love this! The smooth texture of the avocado makes the perfect mousse blend. Top with coconut flakes and pecans and you’ve got one scrumptious treat. Avocado Chocolate Mousse with Pecan Crumble

Ingredients

Avocado Chocolate Mousse

Ingredients:

  • 3/4 cup dates, chopped (previously soaked in water for 30 minutes to 1 hour)
  • 1 1/2 hass avocados
  • 3 tablespoons cocoa powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon sea salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup + 1/2 tablespoon maple syrup

Pecan Crumble

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup unsweetened coconut flakes
  • 1/2 cup dates, chopped
  • 3/4 cup pecans
  • 1 tablespoon maple syrup
  • 1 tablespoon water
  • 1 pinch sea salt

Directions

  • Pecan Crumble: mix all ingredients until sticky paste forms.
  • Mix the drained chopped dates, avocado, cocoa powder, salt, cinnamon and maple syrup. Mix until silky smooth.
  • Place crumble at the bottom of your bowl, add mousse on top!
