Festive Makeup Ideas to Ring in the New Year

With only a few days left in 2015, it’s time to plan your New Year celebrations. 1. A Party on Your Eyes!

Let’s be honest, you can’t wear glittery eyeshadow every day. It’s a special-occasion, once-in-a-blue-moon kind of glamour. So, if you’re ever going to wear it, now ladies (and choosy Gents) is the time to do it. New Year’s Eve practically screams glitter. 2. Pop of Bright Eyeliner

Did the glitter eye shadow scare you? If so, maybe this makeup idea will be the ticket! Try adding a bright pop of color to your lids to ring in 2016. We love this turquoise green cat eye below. The key to getting the perfect pop of color is to pick a color complimentary to your skin tone. For darker skin tones bright colors and metallics work great. For lighter skin tones stick with saturated, rich hues.

3. Red Lips for the Win!

Red lips are a classic, timeless choice (they’re the little black dress in the makeup world) and a perfect makeup pick for New Year’s celebrations! Especially if you don’t frequently wear red lips, you must give this look a try. It’s one of my favorite go-to makeup tricks to quickly and easily dress up your look. 4. Bronzer Baby!

We’re bringing back the early 2000’s with this all-over bronze look. Ready to create a stand out look? Let your friends do the bright colors and glitter, step out of the box and celebrate with glowing, shimmery makeup! To pull off this bronzed face, you’ll need bronze eyeliner, a peach blush, and shimmery bronze lipgloss. Bea-utiful!

5. Last But Not Least…

The no-makeup makeup look! This is probably the best kind of makeup, in actuality. If you don’t enjoy getting glammed up for New Year’s Eve, then don’t!
