HAPARI's Top 4 Favorite Health Apps

Maintaining a healthy lifestyle is one of our main goals here at HAPARI. Summer is over but your efforts towards gaining your bikini body don’t have to be. We have created a list of our favorite health apps to keep you happy and healthy all year long.

My Fitness Pal

If you are looking for an easy to use calorie counter, My Fitness Pal is the one to choose. The hassle of keeping a food diary is quickly and correctly entering the nutritional information of your food. My Fitness Pal has solved this problem! They have the nutritional information of over 5 million foods listed in their database along with bar code scanning ability. With My Fitness Pal tracking the food you are consuming is no longer a torturous process. Since what you eat is a major factor in maintaining a healthy lifestyle, this app is #1 on our health app list.

For those of you who prefer outdoor exercise as opposed to an inside gym, the app Runkeeper is for you. This app works with your phone’s GPS to track your distance, speed, and calories burned to give you a comprehensive overview of your workout. Inside the app you can create personal goals, add friends to your workouts, and track your all time totals. If you love to run, bike, snowboard, or any other outdoor activity (the possibilities with this app are endless) try out Runkeeper!

Ever feel the need to de-stress? Enter Headspace. This phone app is all about mindfulness and meditation which is needed for just 10 minutes a day. Using this app continuously will help you experience a greater sense of focus, calm and clarity in your life (says founder Andy Puddicombe, a former Buddhist monk). Take a timeout from your day with Headspace.

Daily Water

The 8 cups a day rule when it comes to water in engraved in our minds, which doesn’t sound hard to do right? Wrong. Time to download the app Daily Water which is as simple to use as it sounds. Enter how many cups of water you want to drink a day and check the glasses off in the app as you go. Setting up alerts through out the day to remind you that its time to drink water is also an option.

Interested in trying out the health apps from our list above? Download them and let us know what you think. Check out the HAPARI Blog for more posts like this and other quality content you want to read. See you there!
