Today we’re celebrating the warmer weather and longer days with delicious Summer-inspired mimosas. These tasty drinks are a perfect way to get summer ready as we head into June. The best part about these Mimosa recipes? They can be made with or without alcohol for a treat the whole family will love!
3 Of the Best Mimosa Recipes That We've Tried!
Strawberry Pineapple Mimosas
One of my absolute favorite mimosas is this delicious Strawberry Pineapple Mimosa recipe from DamnDelicious.com. This traditional take on the beloved Mimosa combines the tastes of strawberries with pineapple with a refreshing blend of white wine to make a tasty summer drink. If the kiddos want some of this drink, just make them one sans alcohol; it’ll still be a delicious juice drink they’ll love!
Ingredients * 1 ½ cups Pineapple Juice * 1 ½ cups Orange Juice * 1 bottle sparkling white wine, chilled * ½ cup strawberries * ½ cup pineapple
Directions Making mimosas is easy! Combine pineapple and orange juice in a pitcher, stir thoroughly. Carefully pour mixture in to a champagne flute, fill glass half full. Pour white wine in each champagne flute until full. Add strawberries and pineapple chunks into each glass. Drink up!
Grapefruit Beer Mimosa Cocktail
Whew! The name of this cocktail is a mouthful, right? The Grapefruit Beer Mimosa Cocktail is the perfect drink recipe for those who don’t love the taste of white wine (is that even possible?!) This mimosa concoction combines wheat beer with the scrumptiously bitter-sweet taste of Grapefruit. If the kiddos want some of this drink, simply give them some grapefruit juice and call it good. ;) This recipe comes from SaltandWind.com - check it out!
Ingredients * 6 large ruby red grapefruits * 1/2 cup unrefined granulated sugar * 1/2 cup water * 4 (12 ounce) wheat beers * 2 cups ice cubes * 1 lime
Directions Disclaimer: This recipe is a bit more complicated to make than the previous one but can still be done relatively easily. Beginners may want to start with an easier recipe before trying this one.
To begin, squeeze juice from grapefruits. Four grapefruits should yield around 2 cups of juice. Slice the remaining two grapefruit into pieces and set aside. In a small mixing bowl, mix sugar and water. Hear over a small saucepan until sugar is dissolved.
In champagne flutes, place 1 piece of grapefruit at the bottom. Add a few ice cubes. Pour a wheat beer into champagne flute until half full. Add grapefruit juice until almost full. Stir in ½ ounce of syrup mixture. Garnish with lime. Viola! Your Grapefruit Beer Mimosa Cocktail is ready!
Cranberry Orange Mimosas
Last but not least, this delicious Cranberry Orange Mimosa is a must-try for a refreshing summer drink. This tasty concoction is an easy mimosa to try. It’s also a beautiful drink with it’s multi-color ombre look - your kiddos will love what this recipe looks like. To make this kid friendly replace the champagne with some sparkling Pellegrino.
Ingredients * 2 parts Champagne (or Sparkling Water) * 1 part Cranberry Juice * 2 parts Orange Juice * Slices of orange and cranberry
Directions Fill champagne flute with 1 part cranberry, two parts orange juice. Fill the rest of the flute with champagne (or sparkling water). Garnish with slices of orange and cranberry.
