With the first month of 2023 more than halfway over, it’s time to start checking in on the goals you set at the beginning of the year. If you’re like more than half of all Americans, your goals are related to health and wellness. So take a minute to check in on your goals—how are they coming along? If you’ve fallen behind or need a boost, we can help! And, if you’ve been rocking your goals then we’re here cheering as loud as we can!

In today’s post, we’re sharing the top 5 wellness trends in 2023—highlighting the top trends we’re seeing across social media and beyond. Check out the list below to see how you can incorporate these wellness activities into your daily routine to help meet your goals.

1. Powdered greens

Do you struggle eating vegetables? Your dreams may have just come true with the latest wellness trend: powdered greens. These powder packets contain up to a full day’s worth of fruits and veggies and can be mixed into any drink—add to your water, mix with juice, or add it to a smoothie. They work like a Crystal Light packet, except the contents are powdered veggies! Bring them with you on-the-go for a quick and easy way to get a boost of vital nutrients. And the best part? You can purchase powdered greens with or without caffeine. We love using these to replace a not-so-good-for-you soda (cough, cough, Diet Coke). Try adding these powdered greens into your routine to reinvigorate your health and wellness goals for the year! Our favorite brands to try: BetterDaysCo, MixHers, and Garden of Life Green Superfood.

2. Facial yoga

The last few years have seen a huge push for improved skin health and anti-aging regimens. One of the new trends for 2023 in this area is facial yoga. Just like it sounds, the trend involves doing certain facial movements and exercises with the goal of toning, tightening, and sculpting your face—just like yoga does for your body. We love that this is an all natural, free way to combat anti-aging. It’s giving the notorious botox a run for its money! Start by committing just five to ten minutes a day to practice. Then check out some of our favorite exercises to try—we love face yoga accounts like Fumiko Takatsu of @faceyogamethod and Danielle Collins with Face Yoga Expert.

3. Walking treadmill

If you haven’t seen the viral TikTok video of a woman who walked a half marathon during the work day by using a walking treadmill under her desk, then check it out! With more and more of us working desk jobs, it can be hard to fit adequate exercise in. Now you can get your steps in while working at your desk using a walking treadmill. We LOVE this idea! There are so many benefits to standing and/or walking during the work day vs sitting—benefits to both your physical and mental health, and it can improve your productivity at work as well. It’s a win-win and something we’re excited to try to help us reach our fitness goals this year. Items you’ll need to make this work: a standing desk and walking treadmill pad (more affordable than you might think!). Put on your gym shoes and start walking!

4. The cold plunge challenge

The cold plunge challenge has been all over TikTok, with millions of people accepting the challenge to submerge themselves, up to their necks, in water below 59 degrees fahrenheit. The health benefits include: enhanced recovery time for injuries, increased metabolism and fat-burning, improved circulation, reduced pain, and enhanced mood and mental health through resilience building. Experts recommend starting by sitting in the ice bath for just a few minutes at a time (with the goal of working up to three minutes). Try this two to four times a week in the beginning, slowly adding more sessions. If you don’t have an outside ice bath trough, you can start by using your bathtub inside and filling it with ice cold water. If you’re looking for a challenge that can really push your health and wellness efforts into high gear, this is it!

5. Manifesting through meditation

Last but not least, a big trend for 2023 is the idea of manifestation. What exactly does that mean? It’s the idea and practice of actively envisioning your future and the life you want. To do this, many people start with meditation and gratitude for what they already have. The idea is to appreciate what you have while actively envisioning the future that you want. Then actively working towards achieving those goals and diminishing limiting beliefs. We’re completely down to try it—why not? Our dream life is out there and why shouldn’t we have the opportunity to live it?
