Hello, Pastels!

This season we’re saying hello to spring pastels all the way through summer. With top nail polish designers like Nars launching new pastel colors, it’s safe to say your favorite blossom-inspired colors are here to stay. One of the hottest pastel colors for summer is Seafoam Green. The color works almost like a nude in that it works well for all skin tones and is subtle enough to seamlessly flow with everyday outfits. The polish’s muted greens gives it just the right amount of pop to stand out.

Orange is the New Black - Literally!

Clever title, huh? Yep, orange really is the new black for summer polishes this year. Tangerine-inspired colors are showing up everywhere for summer - on the runway, in makeup trends, and in nail polishes! Orange nails are definitely a statement piece. They look great with more subdued outfits like all black. Our favorite orange polish? Sonia Kashuk’s Tango Mango polish below!

Modern Metallics

If you’re more a glitz and glam kinda gal, then you’ll love this new color trend for summer 2016 - Modern Metallics. This trend celebrates all things shimmery. When we think of metallics we automatically assume gold, silver, and/or bronze has to be in the mix right? Wrong! Metallic color trends for summer 2016 takes any color and makes it shimmery, sparkly, and glossy. Our favorite iridescent shade for summer is OPI’s Cuzo-Melted in the Sun polish.

Blue Ivy

Queen Bey has an influence in all things pop culture-related, and there’s no exception when it comes to nail polishes. Beyonce’s huge influence has made it’s way to nail polish with the rise of blues and navy nail polish colors designed after her daughter, Blue Ivy. Blue hues have been a go-to choice for manicurists for a while now, but this summer we’re seeing a different take on the color - navy infused with subtle glitter. This look is a sophisticated and stylish option to try for summer!

Pretty in Pinks

Pink nail polish is the epitome of all things girly. It reminds me of being five years old and painting huge lipstick hearts on my face with my mom’s lipstick. Pink nail polish is the best - it just is! That’s why we are ecstatic that this glorious female-inspired shade has made a triumphant return to the cool stage for summer 2016. Pinks, and all the shade variations, are in! One of our favorite new hues is Dior’s Juicy Grapefruit polish below!
