Hapari Swimwear is known for high quality fabrics, fashionable prints and flattering fits. The new Palm Desert Collection highlights these features and brings customers one of this season’s top trends, color blocking!
It’s a huge trend for 2014, but what is color blocking? According to About.com, “color blocking is a method of wearing multiple solid colors in an outfit. The outfit revolves around a palette of two or more colors, usually in bold and bright shades. The result is a simple yet very chic look. Prints and patterns are typically not used in colorblocking, as such designs would take away from the “blocked” visual.”
Many designers use the color blocking technique to create unique patterns by placing unexpected color combinations next to one another. Often the created patterns look more like works of modern art than clothing!
Color blocking was also a hit among shows in New York Fashion Week February 2014. The Los Angeles Times featured designer Derek Lam’s collection calling his muted color-blocking skills “a home run.”

Hapari’s new Palm Desert Collection uses color blocking techniques to create beautiful patterns and dimensions for the new line. The colors are pulled from the vibrant landscapes found in Palm Desert itself.
The collection features four prints in various silhouette options; Pink Desert Wave, White Desert Wave, SunStripe, and Carnival. Each print utilizes color blocking and the awe-inspiring Palm Desert landscape to form a unique, color block look.
