In today’s post we’re taking you down nearly 20 years of HAPARI memories and sharing our favorite items to snag from the warehouse sale. Better hurry though, the sale ends soon and when supplies are out, they’re gone!

Twenty years of HAPARI

Our founder, Tasha Curry, started HAPARI with the idea of creating swimwear that was made for women’s bodies throughout their lifetime. So many brands were at the time, and still are, only creating swimwear for women’s bodies in their early 20’s. The available options were just not good enough. As a mom of four kids herself, Tasha knew that women needed swimwear options designed to enhance and embrace their bodies throughout their adult life—not just in their 20s. This meant creating swimwear for women in their 30s, 40s, 50s, 60s, and 70s with features like:

• Full-coverage swimwear made from high-quality fabrics
• Elongated tankini length tops
• High-neck lines for added sun coverage
• Tummy-sculpting mesh liners and TummyTuk bottoms
• Secret pockets for Illusion inserts
• Swim pieces designed to mix and match to create personalized fits

Throughout our years of business, we’ve evolved to provide even more swimwear features that women want, like fabric made from UPF 50+ protection and swimsuits made from eco-friendly and sustainable fabrics with fair working conditions. 

We also ensure our sizing is designed for women. Unlike the majority of the swimwear industry, we don’t design our products to be in junior sizing. We design our swimwear for adult women in adult sizing. Radical isn’t it?! And, we commission creative designers from around the world to create custom prints and designs for each of our collections. We design our swimwear with our customers, YOU, at the forefront of all of our product designs. The mom running after her kids on the beach who wants her swimwear to stay in place, the woman who wants a stylish suit that’s also full coverage and modest, the woman who has some curves she wants to enhance and some she wants to downplay. Each collection we create we test and consult real customers about the features and designs they want to see in their swimwear. 

We’ve recently expanded into new product offerings including loungewear, junior swimwear, and mommy-and-me options, all with the same HAPARI commitment to providing quality pieces to support women throughout their lives.

What Tasha started as a way to create better swimwear for herself and women like her, has grown into a family business with a handful of dedicated, long-time employees. Thank you for being with us for all these years—here’s to 20 more!
